A managers and team leaders skills training course
During this course the experiences, purpose and benefits of feedback are discussed from both the team leader and team members perspectives. The reasons for these experiences and perspectives are discussed, any differences and similarities are reviewed and the benefits of everyone agreeing to the purpose and benefits of feedback are explored. The reasons why feedback is sometimes avoided is discussed and the skills required to deliver feedback effectively are identified and agreed.
The ©FEEDBACK and ©5PF models are introduced with best practice at each stage is discussed. Techniques for handling difficult emotional responses to feedback are explored, the ©ABC model is introduced and the benefits of focusing on behaviour during feedback are identified. Delegates practice designing a feedback implementation plan and then deliver real feedback to each other on the content and structure of this plan. This exercise is fully debriefed.
The course finishes with delegates reviewing their learning, creating an individual personal development plan and taking a learning evaluation assessment.
